16th FICCI Higher Education Summit & Exhibition

AuthorCafé was an exhibitor at the 16th FICCI Higher Education Summit & Exhibition from 25th to 27th February 2021. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry is one of the oldest non-government, not-for-profit organisations established to be the voice of Indian businesses and industry. It provides a platform for businesses to engage with each other and work towards policy requirements.
The conference helped everyone gain a better understanding of the current higher education policies, and what is to be expected in future. The event’s speakers discussed the challenges in staying connected and publishing research outputs during the pandemic.
Listening to policymakers’ perspectives, three major streams of conversation emerged through the plethora of discussions – to strengthen their research ecosystems, institutions in India need to focus on the following:
o Funding (from government and industry)
o Collaboration (with international researchers)
o Multidisciplinary research (to promote innovation)
AuthorCafé has been designed to help the research community with all three of these focus areas:
Funding: By making research administration super-efficient and moving it all to the browser, the product makes writing, sharing, and tracking grant proposals simpler and quicker.
Collaboration: Working entirely on the browser, AuthorCafé enables seamless collaboration between researchers from anywhere in the world. Digital repositories make an institute’s output visible and discoverable, opening up opportunities for collaboration.
Multidisciplinary research: By increasing collaboration and discovery of research both within and outside the specific institution, AuthorCafé facilitates interdisciplinary research.
